More standard features on 2023 models
To incentivize new customers, Infiniti will be adding more standard features to their new models as well Infiniti Premium care which is a three-year complimentary maintenance program.
An example of these standard features can be seen on the new 2023 QX55. This vehicle will feature lane departure prevention, blind-spot assist, and ProPilot Assist with active cruise control and steering assist. Rear passengers now benefit from standard side impact airbags, and leather upholstery is now standard. The driver enjoys a four-way power lumbar function. The QX55 with the Essential specification or that of a higher trim will include adaptive cube LED headlights with auto leveling and traffic sign recognition. The range-topping Sensory adds a power lumbar feature for the front passenger, while the rear outboard seats are heated.
Long awaited QX50 Sport trim
The time has come for the long awaited QX50 Sport trim as it will be available in 2023. This new trim will offer a model-specific front fascia and gloss black exterior trim. Dark-painted 20-inch wheels finish off the look. Inside, a 12-speaker Bose sound system and Semi-aniline leather seats provide a classy feel. The introduction of this trim will benefit the whole QX50 line as all models will receive remote engine start, heated outside mirrors, wireless smartphone charging, and a rear door alert. The Pure and Luxe trim levels receive a new 19-inch wheel design, while the latter receives a motion-activated tailgate.
Infiniti joins the EV market
Late to the game, Infiniti have their sights set on joining the EV market with the intention of competing with the Tesla Model 3 and the Polestar 2. While this is a highly competitive landscape, it allows Infiniti to position themselves as forward thinkers along with preparing for a world where EV’s will be the new norm. It will also offer their customers a new and fresh design in comparison to their current line which receives minor updates year to year but lacks new designs and innovation. The fastback four-door sedan is anticipated to have a range of 485km (300 miles) and the estimated price is $67,000 Cad ($50,000 Usd). The expected release date is in 2025.
